Reported Activity

There have been reports of shadow figures being seen, the voices of children, footsteps, and the sound of running have been heard! what will you discover.

History

In 1743, the clock tower and former pin factory was built as part of William Champion's Warmley Brass Works. Its sobriquet of the "Slab" is derived from "Arts Laboratory.""

The three storey building is built of rubble with black slag quoins. The tower is set forward. In the upper storey, it houses an 18th-century bell and a clock with an octagonal external dial.

Men, women, and children worked to make wires, pins, and utensils made of brass and copper, but by the mid 19th century, when pin making ceased, it was used as a boot fact It was also used in connection with Warmley Tower Potteries but now is being used as a community centre.
